Background & expertise
I am a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC and holding Chartered Status with the BPS. With over 10 years of experience across NHS primary care, community mental health, inpatient services, and specialist pathways, my work extends internationally across England, Ireland, Palestine, and Mexico. I am a trauma specialist with expertise in anxiety disorders and complex trauma, including challenges relating to identity, attachment, relationships, and fears where trauma has had an impact.
My clinical practice is structured, evidence-based, and patient-centred. After an initial assessment, we build a shared understanding of how your difficulties developed and what maintains them — then create a bespoke treatment plan integrating psychological theory, research evidence, lived experience, personal values, and current context. I am committed to providing an anti-discriminatory and inclusive service, recognising the impact of social, cultural, and systemic factors on mental health.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Focuses on the links between thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviours, helping identify and change patterns that maintain difficulties. Includes behavioural activation for depression, graded exposure for phobias, ERP for OCD, cognitive challenging, and behavioural experiments.
Learn more via BABCPCognitive Analytic Therapy

Learn more via ACATEye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
A trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories, so they become less overwhelming — limiting their impact and promoting learning and growth. Sessions run standard 50 minutes or extend to 90 and 120 minutes on a weekly or intensive basis.

How different therapies
are applied
Anxiety & Mood
CBT · ERP · ACT · CFT
Anxiety & Mood
CBT · ERP · ACT · CFT
For anxiety disorders and mood difficulties, interventions may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Relapse Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). These approaches focus on identifying and modifying unhelpful cognitive, emotional, and behavioural patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, and increasing value-led action.
Trauma & PTSD
Trauma-focused CBT · EMDR · CAT
Trauma & PTSD
Trauma-focused CBT · EMDR · CAT
For trauma and complex post-traumatic stress disorder, therapy may integrate trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, or CAT following standard standalone protocols or integrating modalities for long-lasting and complex difficulties. These approaches allow for both the processing of distressing memories and an understanding of how trauma has shaped identity, attachment, and emotional regulation — exploring cognitive, emotional, relational, and behavioural patterns in depth.
Bipolar & Psychosis
CBTp · CAT · EMDR
Bipolar & Psychosis
CBTp · CAT · EMDR
For experiences such as psychosis or bipolar disorder, the focus is on understanding triggers, early warning signs, and patterns linked to mood, perceptual changes, thoughts, and behaviours. CBT for psychosis (CBTp) is a specialised protocol that supports relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and improved coping. CBTp can be used on its own or integrated with CAT or EMDR to process traumatic experiences.
Long-Term Health Conditions
ACT · CBT · CAT · EMDR
Long-Term Health Conditions
ACT · CBT · CAT · EMDR
Where psychological difficulties are linked to chronic health conditions, neurological disorders, new diagnoses, or other medical concerns, interventions are adapted to address the interaction between physical health and emotional wellbeing. Work may focus on adjustment, coping, identity shifts, and quality of life — using ACT and CBT for behavioural change, or CAT and EMDR where identity, relationships, or traumatic events need reprocessing.

LGBTQIA+ · Minority groups · Identity
For LGBTQIA+ individuals and those from minority groups, therapy provides an affirming space to explore identity, relationships, stress, discrimination, or trauma. Work is grounded in an understanding of social and systemic factors, integrating a validating, strength-based approach within a culturally responsive and integrative evidence-based framework.
